Even though we've heard through the vineyard that we've been stuck with the notch for another year, designer Ben Geskin has decided to try out a whole new design for the iPhone 12 Pro starting in 2020. Let's take a look. eye!
First of all, the square camera is definitely here to stay. In addition, the general format of the phone remains unchanged, a rectangular slab with rounded corners. I think this time the rear camera is even more protruding or prominent, but maybe that's just the design. I'm also spotting some extra sets, maybe some extra sensors and mics in the optical box.
Ben Geskin promises that the 2020 iPhone has a brand new screen design, without a notch and with a Time of Flight camera. Getting rid of the notch sounds good, but what could Apple do with the mechanics involved. Face ID is certainly not small and the brand new 12 megapixel camera is also very difficult to hide in a simple “lip” of the phone. There's the location under the screen panel, but we're not there yet.
Vivo / Oppo tried (and failed), while Samsung is looking for it. The biggest challenge is getting the screen to act as an appropriate lens for the selfie camera, and making facial recognition work through the same glass. Will he be beaten in 2020? Time will tell us…
